What is Yin Yoga?
Yin Yoga is a very nurturing form of Yoga.
As a Yoga and Pilates teacher I can honestly say that this is by far my favourite practice.
There are many forms of Yoga and Yin is often thought of as Restorative Yoga. It is not the same.
The Asanas (Postures) of Yin are held for longer and it can be a challenging practice - for body and mind; however with modified postures, cushions and blankets Yin is suitable for most people.
I have a background in Traditional Chinese Medicine and I love the connection with this form of Yoga BUT mostly I love the feeling I have after a Yin Class. I feel as though I have been on a retreat!
